This page is written for readers in Ontario, and it is the only page here an Ontario reader needs, because every other page on the site addresses the international market and lists casinos with no registration in this province (the directory lists eighty-four gaming sites for Ontario, and seven of them appear below). In Ontario a casino game may be offered only by an operator registered with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario, under an "operating agreement" (the contract every registered operator signs with iGaming Ontario); anything outside that arrangement sits outside provincial law.

The rule behind this page is an unusual one, and an affiliate who ignores it does the damage to the operators it sends players to rather than to itself. Standard 1.21 of the Registrar's Standards for Internet Gaming (the internet-gaming standards number their provisions 1.21, 2.05 and 2.14.1, while the land-based ones number theirs 1.1 and 2.1, so a wrong citation shows up in the format of the number) puts the duty on the registered operator, which must ensure that third parties marketing on its behalf "do not promote online gambling sites that accept wagers from players in Ontario without AGCO registration".

The consequence is easy to state. A page that mixes registered operators with "offshore" ones puts the registered operator in breach, and the remedy on record is the end of the relationship with the commission clawed back (BetMGM Canada Inc. paid 110,000 Canadian dollars in March 2025 for that failing, and the order named two affiliates by name).

Standard 2.05 permits an "inducement" (the regulator's word for the kind of offer a comparison page normally leads with) to be advertised in two places only, which are the operator's own gaming site and direct marketing to players who have actively consented there. A comparison page is neither of those, and the prohibition reaches advertising "both directly and indirectly", so in the space where another site prints a figure, our card prints a register and a company name.

This page carries none of that, in any form, and the prohibition takes in the generic pointer that some sites print where the figure would go. Standards 2.06 and 2.07 govern how an operator presents conditions on its own site (first presentation for the material ones, a click for the rest), and they speak to that page rather than to this one.

On a site about jackpot games we think the loss is small, because the proposition of a "progressive" game is the "pot" the network holds. A reader choosing between pots is better served by a licence and a network than by anything else we could put in that space.

The whole register, and not only the part that pays us

The directory listed 49 operators and 84 gaming sites (accurate as of 1 September 2026, which is the date the page itself declares), and the table below gives 49 rows, one for each company. Of those sites, 9 carry a card higher up the page, which is to say a link, because they are the ones this site has an agreement with; everything else is here because the AGCO put it there, in the order the directory itself uses (we neither sort it nor filter it).

Whether an Ontario jackpot is the same jackpot

This is the question we are asked most about the province, and the suppliers do not answer it in public. A progressive "pool" is built by the supplier and shared across the casinos hosting the game, and a "ring-fenced" market (one whose players are held in a pool of their own for regulatory reasons) can be served from the global pool or from a local one.

The counter settles it! An Ontario player who opens a game on a registered site and sees a figure far below the one quoted internationally is sitting in a separate "pool", while a player who sees the same figure to the dollar is in the global one.

The age, the help, and the self-exclusion

The minimum age here is nineteen rather than eighteen (nineteen in Ontario, eighteen in Alberta, which trips up readers who move between the two provinces), and you will find that figure under every card on this page.
