Jackpot games in Alberta, and the whole register behind them
The province opened its market on 13 July 2026, and this page carries what the Alberta iGaming Corporation "register of sites" carries and nothing beyond it, which is what separates it from every other page here. Of the fifty-one sites on that register, seven have an agreement with us and therefore a card and a link, while the remaining forty-four appear in the table lower down for the only reason that counts, which is that the register lists them.
Alberta readers want this page and no other on the site, because the rest of it is written for the international market, where the casinos we list hold no registration in this province. The province opened its own market on 13 July 2026 (iGaming Alberta Act), with Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis as the regulator and the Alberta iGaming Corporation as the counterparty each operator signs with.
Alberta borrowed the Ontario approach on affiliates almost word for word, and the borrowing is what shapes this page. The standards say an affiliate may promote "only licensed operators" (section 2.3.3 of the marketing rules the operators circulate), and the registered operator answers for everyone marketing on its behalf (the AGLC codified the standards on 18 June 2026, and they read as the Ontario ones do), so a page mixing registered sites with others would put the registered ones at risk rather than this site.
The restriction on an "inducement" (the regulator's word for any offer that pushes a reader to play) goes further here than a reader might expect. It covers indirect advertising as well as direct, naming promotional codes, referrals, search results and live chat, and it reaches "links and descriptions provided by affiliates" in those words.
The regulator's own advice to operators is worth repeating, because it is the shape of this page. The advice we follow is that Alberta marketing should rest on the breadth of the catalogue, the payment methods and the support desk; the "register of sites" is the one claim an affiliate can make freely, and it happens to be the claim that matters most to a player chasing a large prize.
Ad disclosure: some casino links are affiliate links; we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. It never affects the order of our list or what a page says. 18+.
The registered sites we have an agreement with
Seven sites from the "register of sites" have an agreement with us, and they are the ones with a card below, and the sequence they appear in (our generator’s, rotated by file name) means nothing at all. It is what our generator produced, it rotates with the file name, and each button is an "affiliate link" that may earn this site a commission if a reader registers, at no cost to that reader.
The "pot" is the proposition. No card here names an offer, in any form, because the rule that bans one does not distinguish between a figure and a description of it. Where another site would print a figure, ours prints the register the site is on, and it prints no pointer to the figure either (section 4.1.7 governs how an operator must present its own conditions, and it speaks to the operator’s page rather than to this one).

One link per province. Six of these brands (Jackpot City, Spin Casino, Royal Vegas, Ruby Fortune, Betway and Spin Genie) are registered in Alberta and in Ontario, on separate sites with separate links. A reader who moves between the two provinces needs the other page, and the link on this one will not do.
Every site on the register, paying or not
When we read the register on 19 October 2026 it held 51 sites (the counter on the page can sit at zero, so the rows are read one by one), and the table below has a row for each one. Of those 51 rows, 8 match a card further up, where a "card" means a link and an agreement, and the other 43 earn their place by being on the register, which is the whole point of printing it.

What this page would not publish even if we had it
The Alberta standards go some way past the usual prohibitions, and two of the additions catch a comparison site in particular. Games whose names or artwork appeal to children may not be used in marketing at all, so a list of "featured" slots that carries a "progressive" attached has to be filtered before it reaches this province, and nobody current or retired from professional sport may appear beside an operator unless the message concerns responsible gambling.
The rest reads as a list of the things a jackpot page is most tempted to say, which is probably why the standards bothered to write them down; gambling may not be presented as a solution to a personal or family difficulty, as an alternative to work or as an investment, the odds may not be implied to improve with more play, and any person depicted must look at least twenty-five (the standards set that figure expressly); we would hold to most of it without a rule.
We think the jackpot question is where an Alberta reader is worst served by the rest of the internet. Whether the "pot" on an Alberta screen is the global one or a pool of the province's own is something no supplier publishes, which is why a "ring-fenced" market (one whose players are held in a pool of their own, for reasons the regulator rather than the supplier decides) leaves the reader with one honest instrument, the "counter" that runs on the game itself.
You can read it before you deposit a dollar! A figure far below the international one means a separate "pool", while a figure matching it to the dollar means the global one.
The age, the help, and the self-exclusion
Alberta plays from eighteen, the lower of the two Canadian figures a reader is likely to meet (Ontario is nineteen), and you will find it under every card above, which matters more than it sounds, because a reader arriving from the Ontario page of this site has just read the higher figure under every card there.
GameSense is the provincial reference the standards require in every piece of material, at 1-833-447-7523 and at gamesenseab.ca, while "self-exclusion" runs through selfexclusion.ca or the AGLC itself at 1-844-468-8034 (the AGLC also takes it by electronic mail, at se@aglc.ca).
Two further numbers are worth keeping, because the first is for anybody and the second is specific. 211 Alberta takes calls on any difficulty at all, and Alberta Health Services runs an addiction helpline at 1-866-332-2322 (both are free, and neither of them is run by an operator).
Questions we are asked about this province
Questions
When did Alberta open its online casino market?
On 13 July 2026, under the iGaming Alberta Act, with Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis as the regulator and the Alberta iGaming Corporation as the counterparty each operator signs with. Before that date the only lawful online casino in the province was the provincial one.
Can an affiliate show bonuses to players in Alberta?
No. The standards treat an inducement as any offer that pushes a reader to play, the restriction covers indirect advertising as well as direct, and it reaches links and descriptions provided by affiliates in those words, along with promotional codes, referrals, search results and live chat.
How many sites are on the Alberta register?
Fifty-one when we read it on 19 October 2026. The register names sites rather than the companies behind them, which is the opposite of the Ontario directory, and the page carries all fifty-one rows.
Is the minimum age in Alberta eighteen or nineteen?
Eighteen. Ontario is nineteen, and the difference catches out readers who move between the two provinces.
Do the same brands appear in both Alberta and Ontario?
Six of the brands on this page do, on separate sites with separate links: Jackpot City, Spin Casino, Royal Vegas, Ruby Fortune, Betway and Spin Genie. A reader who moves between the provinces needs the other page, because the link on this one is for Alberta.
Eighteen and over in Alberta. Jackpot play is entertainment and never income. GameSense, 1-833-447-7523 and gamesenseab.ca, is the provincial service, and self-exclusion runs through selfexclusion.ca or the AGLC at 1-844-468-8034.
